Frequently asked questions

Do we need to install an app or use our own phones?

No. Every team gets a prepared tablet – no apps to install, no phones to charge, no data plans to worry about.

What if there is no mobile signal in the Old Town streets?

The whole game – films included – is stored on the tablet, so it runs smoothly in every narrow Old Town street, even without signal.

Can international and mixed-language teams play?

Yes. Films, puzzles and texts are available in English and Czech, so mixed international groups can play side by side.

Is it just watching videos?

No. Every scene is interactive and filmed from your point of view: your team becomes a character of the time, a famous historical figure explains the era and its connections, and then gives you a puzzle made for that exact statue, street or building – solved with the tablet’s interactive artefacts and your own eyes on the spot.

Do we need to know Prague’s history?

No. At every location a guardian tells their story in a film scene, and the answer hides in the real place around you – a plaque, a statue, a carving. Real Prague stories from 1307 to 1942, told as cinematic scenes rather than guidebook facts.

What happens if a team gets stuck?

A team can buy a hint at any time for a few extra minutes – some tasks have more than one. As a last resort, after several wrong answers, the answer itself can be revealed for a bigger time penalty. No one is left behind; using the clock wisely is part of the game.

How is the winning team decided?

Every team’s time runs from the oath to the last seal. Wrong answers add minutes; completed photo challenges take them off. The final ranking of all teams is ready for the award ceremony.

What do we receive after the game?

The winners receive prizes and diplomas, and every team receives its own certificate with its name, the date, final time, failed attempts and completed photo challenges. The organiser receives a results package with the final ranking of all teams and every photo each team took on its tablet – ready for the award ceremony, your newsletter or social media.

How long does the game take?

About 2.5 hours in total: a 15-minute introduction with your Game Master, 2 hours of play and 20 minutes for the results and the award ceremony. The hunt starts on Old Town Square, at the Jan Hus Monument, and can finish anywhere – usually at a restaurant you book for the award ceremony.

How big is a team and how many people can play?

Teams have 5–6 people and every team gets its own tablet. The game is designed for groups of 9 to 150 participants; larger groups are possible on individual agreement. Tell us about your group in the enquiry form and we will prepare an offer.

How far do we walk?

About 2.5 km on foot through Prague’s Old Town, with a stop at each of the 11 places – a relaxed pace with plenty of time for the scenes, puzzles and photos.

What if the weather is bad?

You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours in advance – so you can decide based on the forecast.

Which languages does the Game Master speak?

English, Czech or German. The game itself – films, puzzles and texts – is in English and Czech, so mixed international groups can play side by side.
